Twas The Good Day Before Christmas

I spoke with all the ones I love dearly, showed off some paper folding tricks and laughed more than I have in years with some newer friends that I cherish deeply. Thank you...

Home on the range

Question for you: So if you have been home for three days out of the month and today is the 11th but your leaving again for another 4 nights tomorrow, should you feel bad because you just want to hang out at the ranch?

It's really cold today

Oh the weather outside is frightful, some new weather stripping would be delightful. Home today then back on the road tomorrow, seems like I've been gone for much longer than it has really been. Today, I think I'll work around the house to try and whittle down my list of things to do...

Moving Day?

Well, they finally asked, should I go or not? No official word just a few instant messages at this point... Think I should just go ahead, bite the bullet and open the hot dog stand...

Happy Birthday Dad... - 10/31/41 - 01/25/00

"JOYOUS RIDE"

This night, at this time of doom, Angels hover near,

Suddenly ominious clouds appear and slowly fade away

A soul goes soaring on an unknown flight as radiant stars form a splendid light.
Whilst dancing across the skies a journey, not the end has began.

Old transgressions are forgotten.
New faiths and obedience linger here with our savior who is just and pure

This soul will abide.
Lord thank you for the lift.

“DISTRESSED”

Listen: you think you have problems?

I’ve been walked on, tracked on, stomped on, And I’ve suffered countless abuse.

Although I feel pain, I will not complain, I’ll just shrug and say ‘oh well’ you see I am Only a rug.

"SOMEWHERE BETWEEN HEAVEN AND HELL"

Many times I’ve heard Satan ringing his bell, and many times I’ve answered and stumbled and fell, only to find troubles to greet me and defeat me as well.

So my life was a mess and where I’d end up was anyone’s guess. Now as I face deaths door, gone are the drinking and smoking along with my health and money

On material things I may now possess, don’t mean a thing, but I can remember now, while I am still alive, the love of wife and my family and I’ve been blessed.

I’ll leave it at this and pray to Jesus to handle the rest.

“WHY”

I stand at the grave. I know I must be brave.
I will not cry, I’ll just bite my lip and try to understand why, we have to die.

They say the answer is in the sky, If this is so and it is true maybe that’s why heaven is blue and rainbows fall back to earth when a storm has passed, and our lives are through, the grass is always wet with dew.

You know it's a "crying shame" when you give something your all yet those around you continue to "muck it up" what is with these people? Can they not understand what is at stake here? Or perhaps is it due to the length of time it takes to understand the legalease of the agreement already set forth? Sometimes I just want to scream!!! I used to wonder why we did what we did in the military but have recently come to realize this excercise is definitely is NOT a military operation. You may think you know what I'm blogging about but your probably wrong!

6th floor outlook - multiple hospitals

Del a y e d, the attendant puts the final letters up on the wall. Yes once again the flight has been delayed. Hmm, wonder if I'l make the connecting flight... Arrive after segment numero uno and wait somewhat patiently for them to open the door. Catch the train to the next terminal and as I arrive at the gate they are calling my name. The gate agent says "Wow, you made it from all the way over there and you just got in" I'm thinking, I need to go on a diet, huff huff hack hack... Onto the plane I go to 6a but theres some dude there so as I pause to double check my seat assignment the flight attendant moves the gentlemen back to 4c where he came from. Ah one less thing to worry about. Flying into the airport I'm beginning to wonder just how big this place is, just lots of farmland with the typicalsquared of lots but these have circular shapes within... The ride from the airport to the domicile for a couple wasn't bad, just lots of construction. Internet connection keeps dropping so I'll have to give the hotel an F for the day and detention.

Clear, Blue and 22

The ride to the airport this morning was pretty long, parked what seems like a mile from the terminal and began my trek for the week to destinations known. Arriving at the ticket counter somewhat out of breath, note to self..."Hit the stairs more often" Pulled up the map on expedia and it says 16 miles, 1 hour 30 minutes... What's wrong with this picture? To top it off it looked like a toll road to... ?

BuMpY rIdEs

So, once again up at O'dark hundred to shower and catch the redeye to destinations unknown. Out the door I go and what do I find? I find a pitch black and rainy morning awaiting my venture outdoors. By the time I get to the vehicle I'm pretty well drenched so I try to dry off before griping the wheel only to remember that I still need to open the gate... So at the airport there all bright eyed and cheerily ready to provide my ticket. Through security I try to go but again, I get to listen to a couple of non frequent fliers complain about removing their shoes... COME ON ALREADY, MOVE ALONG... Honestly, don't these people watch the news, listen to the radio, talk to a friend etc., How can so many still be in the dark about the security process? Anyway I finally cruise through untouched by latex gloves and head for the gate. The flight was somewhat uneventful besides a little turbulence on the way up to the cruising altitude. The flight attendant politely announces there will be no beverage service due to the turbulence. Thanks! Surely nobody wants a beverage this early in the morning anyway, so keep your happy ass buckled for the duration of the flight bucko. Arrival came with a startle, must of dozed off, awoke to a thud, touchdown...oh I hope I wasn't snoring, checking for drool... Regain composure, perusing through the onboard magazine until arriving at the gate as if I'd been awake the entire time. The airport was eerily quiet, seems strange to arrive and only see a few people in a major airport... Off to the rental car area and low and behold guess what? NO CARS, so I go back to the counter for some advice and the shocked attendant says "just take a premium car" so back out I go, guess what? NO PREMIUM CARS! So, back to the counter I go, this time I have to wait in line, (SIDEBAR(I now know why they made that movie "Falling Down".)) Ok so she recognizes me and says "ummm is there no premium cars?" Nod my head no, and she says "Just take an SUV it won't cost you any more" Now why didn't she just say that to start with? The ride in was a pleasant one, the day was full... Heading home soon...

104 today

Or so I'm told...Tooling around town in a Nissan Altima, when I picked it up the other night it appeared to be a Maxima, oh well... Still, the car handles well and in typical Nissan fashion has plenty of get up and go. I will say that the hotel totally blows, but this is the first time in awhile I've stayed at this national chain. Don't you just get irritated when on an extended stay your shampoo or other sundry items don't get replenished? I know I do, you know... You get to the room tired, etc strip down and get in the shower only to find they have not replenished the room. Great, out of the shower, slip on something and head to the lobby. "Can I help you?" they ask... In a monotone reply I say "shampoo, sundries please" How shocked they look, perhaps its from the expression of disgust on my weary face.

ITIL

Went and took the ITIL foundations three day class and appropriate test. I passed! I'm getting used to driving around the city again, back in the zone... There is much to be said about living in a more rural part of the country and I tend to miss it dearly when idle in traffic. Dry county central around many of the roads I've been traveling, it's like prohibition all over again. You can buy beer and wine so what's up with that anyway?

Six Lanes and no where to go

The ride back to the airport took about an hour, it's good that we finished early or I would have missed the filght. All those lanes and very little movement. Seems traffic would gridlock near the interchanges and a few residential exits. Rolling down the freeway at 65 then creeping at 5 or just putting it in park. Sign says "OZONE ALERT TOMORROW" "TRY RIDE SHARING" so I look over at the ride share lane. it's practicaly empty with the exception of the occasional perp whizzing past us with nobody else in their speed buggy. Then there was the chips team rolling through traffic, side by side? Airport signs were minimal and rental return signs were worse. Coming into the north entrance there's a toll road, so for a few miles trying to return the car I'm thinking whats this going to cost... Pull up to the attendant and he smiles and says "no charge" "have a nice day" THANKS, I will... Back at the rental car place there's a gazillion cars in this centralized location, I pull up and the guy says "sir, your gas is only at 7/8th of a tank" I'm like, yep... So then he starts telling me where to go and get gas for the next time. This seems a little odd, I'm wondering if they don't top them off if you come back and the gauge reads full? Now for the seven minute bus ride back to the terminal. Ticketing was a breeze, I'm early and cruising towards security. This frenchmen in front of me is arguinging with the screener that he shouldn't have to take off his shoes cause they won't make the beeper go beep. Mine are already in the bucket:-) I'm thinking this guys screwed. So he finally agrees and takes off his shoes and walks through. Then I hear "sir, is this your bag?" and the frenchmen is like "wee" so the screener says "you have been selected for additional screening" and then turns, smiles and waves me through. I grabbed my stuff and headed for the gate snickering a little under my breath...

Rolling

So I cruise through the double doors from the rental car center and out to pick up a car, any car. I'm pulling out of the south exit and getting on the freeway, all systems go, I'm in the zone. Traffic is heavy but the usual speed demons are passing to the left and the right. Metallica is playing on the radio, gotta love it... Anyways I'm looking for this state highway that's supposed to take me north towards my destination. Well, it doesn't exist I tell you, after driving all the way downtown and out the other side I decide to do what no man hath ever done before, no not stop for directions but stop to read the rental car map. After a moment of studying in what appeared to be homelessville I got back on the road and found an exit that headed north.

Thursday, July 21, 2005

Just one more thing...

So I went to wal-mart last night to pick up some sudafed... It was the longest wait ever because now you have to go to the pharmacy to get it. So after about 20 minutes in line I handed the attendant the card with the desired product. Then she asks me for my drivers license and so I hand it over thinking what the ? So she goes over to the Pharmacy manager and chats with him for a moment. Then she came back and said "I'm sorry we can't sell this to you because you not a local resident." I said "I fill all of my prescriptions here so you might reconsider" and begrudgingly they did but jeez... So, that means if your traveling you better take some with you cause chances are you won't be able to buy it away from home...

Traveling Issues

It's not that I mind to travel. It's not that I mind living out of a suitcase. Even that you usually can't find 101 in the hotel bar doesn't really bother me. It's not the airlines, long waits and cancelled flights. It's not the new and improved airport security. It's not the people you meet in the airport. It's not the admirals club. It's not the technologicaly challenged wireless ISP's within the various airports. It's not the hotel airport shuttle service. It's not the long lines at the rental car counter nor the walk to your car with express service. It's not the over or under pleasant hotel desk staff. It's not the over or under stuffed pillow on the hotel bed. It's not the tightly tucked sheets. It's not the hotel television service. It's not the chlorine level in the pool. It's not the number and quality of workout equipment in the hotel gym. It's not the contenential breakfast. It's not the paper at my door in the morning. Not even the worst client is the issue. The issue may be, now that I think about it that I'm usually to tired after dealing with all of that to talk with the ones I love...

Random Deep Thought

He, Ishi, was the last of the Yahi.

Desperately Seeking Political and Historical Knowledge

Can anyone explain to me why this happened, it's seems to be a fundamental issue and it continues to occur.
WHY?

The plot thickens...

So I write a post about a memory I've had for many, many years and I'm told it's not really the way I remember it. Is it possible that I was told it was one way for many years to hide some mysterious catastrophic engram? Or did I myself deny the facts and make up my own stories and memories, who am I anyways?

Body Count

So today the counts I've heard thus far are 50, 44, 33 and 42. I really wish the news would get it right before reporting it. Scotland yard is working on the issue though. Apparently they have found a couple of unexploded munitions, so they may be hot on there trail shortly if not already. I also heard that from eyewitness accounts it appeared that the devices went off early as one eyewitness accounted seeing a terrorist fiddling with something in a bag shortly before the blast.

Proposterous

So I awake to find that yet another vile terrorist organization has struck a deadly blow to a people in a far off land. Then I read an article that states a group has claimed ownership of the act that stated " The time has come for vengeance against the Zionist crusader government of Britain ... " Zionist? Come on, do you expect me to believe that this act was aimed at Jews in Britian? Proposterous...

Taekwondo

Back then lots of fights would break out all over mostly nothing. My step father had won the golden gloves back in his boxing days so he wanted to ensure that my little brother and I were prepared for anything. Off to Taekwondo we would go three nights a week. I went from a disgusting fat body to a muscle bound freakishly skinny kid. My brother started looking like a white Bruce Lee.

Mineha ha ha

I don't even remember how to spell it but that was the name of the school I went to when we were living on the east side. I can remember going over to my cousins on stonegate and running over garden snakes that the neighbors would through out onto the road as they manicured their green, green grasses. Poppin wheelies we were and loving it. Coleman was another school that my cousins went to, but not me. I was lost in Minehahaha. Don't really remember much about the school. I can remember that my dad had remarried and I didn't like her, today we get along but thats the extent of it. Sure there were times when I would offer to comfort her by saying "don't worry, he''ll be back" My dad was drinking heavily and gone for a few days at a time every now and then. He would come home and we would go to quicktrip for a microwave cheesburger, chips and a coke. Don't knock quicktrip burgers, they seriously rock. Sometimes he and I would go to KFC and get a bucket and eat it in the parking lot before going home. Just seemed like we had to do that an awful lot. Looking back I guess it was because we didn't have enough to feed her entire family and believe me, they were nearly always there. Family nights were different though, we would all go to the big cheese pizza or godfathers pizza off kellogg. Godfathers taco pizza was my favorite. During those feasts even my stepbrother and I seemed to get along. Ah... engrams.

Stand Off at Taco Tico on Douglas

So there I was on my new bicycle minding my own business. I had ventured a little farther into the neighborhood than before to see my friend. On my way home I came across a bunch of kids fighting in the street. Not just a few mind you but a gaggle. I tried to cruise around them but was blocked in by several of them at once. I must have been about 8 or 9 years old. So basically they wanted my new bike and began pulling on it, I wasn't giving it up and tried to bully past them but there was just too many of them. Hands all over my new bike and before you knew it I was crowd surfing above these kids with my bike heading the other direction. I finally got down and went looking for it only to find the meanest, nastiest bully I'd ever met sitting on it. He started chasing me on my own bike! I ran like the wind, lost at that point not knowing which way to go. Each time I looked back he was closer and closer and so was a whole bunch of other kids. So I kept running, by the time I got back into town the closest thing was Taco Tico and they were open. I don't think they were ready to take my order though. I ran into the bathroom with thugs in tow. The door slammed shut and I locked it tight. BOOM BOOM WHAM could be heard in that small ass bathroom. The kids were trying to break through and get me, by this time I had no idea how many were outside nor where my bike was. Luckily there was a pay phone in the bathroom, now why there was a pay phone inside the Taco Tico bathroom I'll probably never know. But anyways, I reached into my pocket and produced some silver. I called IM and my older cousin answered. I was breathing so hard I could hardly speak and the pounding on the door kept getting louder. Within minutes I heard the deep unmistakable voice of my dad and my cousin. They were there to rescue me and my new bike. Both of the men were bigger than the average Joe so the kids proved little trouble for them. Ah... engrams.

Train Tracks

Behind grandmas house there were some train tracks. There was a sandy clay loam on the side of the tracks with a cave like hole in it. My cousins and I would go back there and dig a little everyday. We got it pretty deep, enough so that we could crawl in out of sight. It was cooler in there than outside in the hot sun and just fun, another fort. Grandma didn't like us going back there, she was concerned it would cave-in on us and frankly I don't know why it didn't. It wasn't fancy, there were no braces like in the old coal mine movies. Sometimes we would catch a ride downtown to the "newway" burger joint. Those were some awesome burgers and the root beer couldn't be beat. After some lunch we would go over to the tracks by the brickyard. There were these air bags as big as waterbeds that would get thrown away after transporting the bricks on the train. One day we decided to take a few back to grandmas and fill them with water. We did, and we jumped off the front porch onto those things over and over. Pennies were always a treat, throw one on the tracks and then find it after the train rolled on by. We should have bought candy. Ah... engrams

Back in Wichita

We were living on the east side of town, we had about 5 acres of land with mostly trees. It was a great place to build forts and tree houses. There was an old well house out back that had a 80cc Harley inside. Yeah it was in pieces and yeah I didn't know what a harley was back then but it was fun trying to put it all together. I had a new BB gun and the house had no central heat or air. We had one of those window units that has the cardboard on both sides for filler. So I'm outside looking for something to plink on with my new gun, this one was one of those you could pump and shoot pellets with. Hey! I thought looking at that cardboard next to the air con. I found a nice black marker and drawed my target, the circles were near perfect. Back on the other side of the yard I pumped that gun twenty times and took aim. POW, bullseye I thought but wait whats that? ARRRGGHHHHHHHH... Out of the house with a flash and a gun comes my older step brother. Whats he doing I think? Hes running towards me, and hes shooting at me. So I'm off like a flash through the woods to the fort I go. Hes hollering "You shot me!" I'm thinking, no I didn't... Ah... engrams

Go-Kart and BB Gun

So the new step daddy was a car jockey in his sober time and continuously brought home some hitch hiker from I-40. We sometimes got some real winners boarding with us and sometimes not. One of the good ones helped my brother and build a cool kart. He had a welder and there was a hardware store just across the street. We would spend all of our gaming money on new wheels etc., to get this kart rolling. We just about had it all finished minus a motor. This thing was sweet, low to the ground just begging for a chainsaw motor. We went away for the weekend and came home to a burnt pile of what used to be our house. The kart was nowhere to be found. After studying the wreckage I spied what used to be my bedroom. I went looking for my other prized possession, my BB gun. Removing the rubble from around the old wrought iron frame there where the gun should be was a fine outline of silver carpet representing my BB Gun. The gun was gone to. Ah... engrams.

Muldrow bound

I hadn't seen my mom in a long time and we were heading back to Muldrow for a visit. When we arrived she had remarried, our landlord. Oh man was I in for a shock when I seen my new baby brother. The house was a mess and he was drunk. This turned out to be the norm around there. He would get totally shit faced drunk and then holler down the hall for you to go in there. Oh how I loathed to go in there. He would put his arm around my neck and squeeze till my eyes looked like those seen on total recall. Ah... engrams.

Goddard Picnics

My uncle lived just outside of Wichita in a town called Goddard. We would often have company picnics out at his place. The place was huge, large inground swimming pool and fully landscaped backyard of around three acres. Included was a cabana house that the adults usually hung out in. The cousins and I made our way to the new trash cans full of ice and soda. It was like a dream come true, all the soda you could ever want right there in a stainless steel trash can smothered in ice. The place reminded me of the zoo with all the plants and everything. We spent alot of the time there indoors downstairs in the game room playing coleco vision I think. I can remember going by my aunts kennel down there and also the stench of doggie doo... Good times. Ah... engrams.

IM

IM meant something different to me and my family then, it was where our bread and butter money was made. The place was passed down to my uncle dave from my grandpa when he died. My uncle gave all of the four brothers a job there. It was one building down from my grandmas so after school I'd go over to see my dad in shipping and receiving. He usually was sweating back there with a cig hanging out of his mouth. I was always happy to see him. Sometimes we would go down into the basement to see all of the amazing machinery contained therein. There would be metal shavings from the custom tools they had made, all over the place, I always wondered how they got the shavings out of there? Sometimes I can remember seeing my dad toss those full fifty gallon drums around like they were empty. He was a strong man. If you went up front it was all business, mostly suit and tie. Kinda seemed stuffy to me and uptight, I liked it better in the back. The building between my grandmas and IM had an apartment upstairs and I think we lived there once. In later years my cousin and his wife lived there but that was after the company had been sold. Ah... engrams.

Elvis

I never knew it until the day he died but my grandma loved Elvis. Spraweled out in the flor watching cartoons the news came on dismissing bugs bunny and they said they had a special report "Elvis found dead!" My grandma broke down and started crying, we did too. Ah... engrams.

Grandmas

So there we were getting ready for bed at my grandmas, we had to take a bath before getting into bed so's not to soil the clean linen. I think that she washed the linens every day anyway. My grandpa was a War veteran and was getting up there in years or so it seemed. He would sit around and tell me and my cousins about life in captivity during the war. He was a radio man that had been caught behind the line. He mentioned that the enemy used to hang him up with vice grips attached to his fingernails until they fell out and then they would move on to the next finger, then ultimately to his toes. He said he had a lot of time to reflect on family and other things during that time and also that he didn't have a clue about anything they were asking him during torture. He brought home several relics and kept them in a chest. I always thought me and my cousins would somehow end up with one of the jewels contained therein but my grandma got robbed after he passed away and the thiefs took that too. Ah... engrams.

Allison Junior High

Snare Drums, do you know how heavy a snare drum is when you have to carry it several blocks and it practically weighs more than you? Large establishment, lots of kids, long days and I'd rather be with my dad somewhere else. Ah... engrams.

At Six

I remember paper and clothes flying about leaving a trail all through the house. Loud shouting and lots of crying, my mom and dad were fighting, he was leaving and I was pleading to go with him, I didn't want him to go. Then he was gone and there we were alone. A short time later my sisters and I would take the greyhound bus to Wichita to see him often. I can remember those long bus rides, playing on the floor under my sisters seat. It was dirty from the dried mud off our shoes and countless other travelers. Sometimes we would stop in Ponca City at some diner and get chips and of course pecan pie. We would always run back outside to ensure we didn't miss the bus. After the trip ensued and the pecan pie began to bring sleep towards us the windows of the bus felt cool as the ac blew up side vents. Kinda remember a funky odor though, like a dirty air filter or something similar. Ah... engrams.

By Five

Doorknobs, brass doorknobs, large freshwater fish tanks and toddlers do not mix. My mother had this enormous tank full of these awesome freshwater fish, I remember we would order those seahorses out of the back of comic magazines and put them in the tank, seems like they always disappeard though? Damn fish! Anyways I'm told that I busted it up pretty good with a brass doorknob. What was I doing with a brass doorknob anyway, who was watching me do this or was I not being watched at all? Ah... engrams.

Three

When I was little I used to like to play with keys, there always used to be plenty of them lying around and I would make those cardboard card out of boxes and drive like hell down the hall. One day I guess there must have not been any cardboard around and I had just found the mother of all keyrings. I searched high and low for something to drive, then there it was an ignition switch a couple feet up from the floor in the wall. I can vaguely remember putting the key into the ignition then ZAM, POW, ZWACK and I awoke tingling all over. I'm told that I was sitting there frying like McDonalds french fries in beef flavored oil while my mother scrambled to find a board to knock me off the receptacle. Ah... engrams...

Horses

I like them, but when my oldest boy living at home goes riding with the hoodies it makes me nervous. I've fallen off a number of times as anyone who really knows me can tell you... :-) I want to let him ride but at the same time I'm concerned about his welfare. Ah, it can be tough to be a dad...

Super Computer Benefits - Even a space elevator?

Fourth of July

Hope everyone has a great fourth, I know I can sure use the time off :-) I was surfing the web yesterday and noticed you can buy online a remote controlled device to set off your fireworks from well over one hundred feet away. This got me thinking so I dug a little deeper and noticed that some of the sites will sell to you while others will not and require some sort of license for purchase. Doesn't seem to be all that well regulated at this time?

Your Sky

Your Sky

LiftPort Group

LiftPort Group: "The LiftPort Group (LPG) is dedicated to building a mass transportation system to open up access to the inner solar system (LEO, GEO, the Moon, Mars, and asteroids). We expect the Space Elevator will be at the heart of this revolutionary transportation service. By opening up broad-based access to Earth orbits and the inner solar system, LPG will help bring about the creation of entire new markets. Based in space commerce, these new markets can only become viable through safe, inexpensive, routine access to the inner solar system. In short, we at LiftPort Group believe that development of the space elevator is a crucial step in the future of Earth and space. "

Who's job is it anyway?

So here we are with yet another dilema brought before us, do we continue to move forward and rush around grasping at straws to try to correct the issue at hand knowing full well that it will be like finding a needle in a lava flow. Or do we just sit back and point fingers and accomplish nothing. Whos job is it anyway? Do we reflect on times gone by of long ago when we think we can remember this very thing happening but not recalling how, when or where? Do we run a search knowing what we seek will not be there? Do we wonder how we have come this far without industry standard tools that manage and monitor the very thing we seek? Do we sit there staring blankly at the floor contributing nothing to the conversation at hand? Whos job is it anyway? Do we request information and offer up potential solutions that result in yet more blank stares? Whats the point of having a meeting of the minds if all your prepared to give is a blank stare? Come on, whos job is it anyways?

Tai Chi The Way of The Warrior

Tai Chi The Way of The Warrior: "The warrior looks upon the earth in a different way than those who are not warriors, everything, from the smallest insect to the largest mammal, and the most insignificant rock or tree is important and has life, the grass he walks upon, he thanks for softening the rough path he walks upon, the trees, he thanks for giving him shade and oxygen. Everything has importance because it was put there by mother earth for some reason.

Sure, he has to live in modern times, he must drive a motor car and go to the supermarket and mow his lawns, but always, he never loses sight of what he is, and more importantly, where he is. He knows that what he is, is not only what he has made himself to be, but also what is handed down to him and what is an accumulation right inside the very cells that he is made of, from his ancestors. Everything that they were, is now him, every bit of information that his fathers and mothers gathered is now inside of him, this is how we live on in our children, we literally, and I mean literally, pass on our knowledge, along with eons of knowledge accumulated since the beginning of time, to our children. Everything that we are at the conception of our children is passed on to them. We think that we have certain talents, but the warrior knows that all that he is, has come from the beginning of time, he knows that he is made up of the same stuff that a rock is made of, or a tree or a blade of grass, the difference is only physical. He knows that he owns nothing, and that all animals are free, his animals chose him to be with, he does not go to the pet shop to chose a new dog, he knows that the dog has chosen him to come to that pet shop to chose it. "

Deer in the headlights...

Tainted emoticons fill the screen of which I gaze upon as a cool subtle breeze tickles my neck. Crickets are looming nearby as the winter wind draws to an end. The grass is wet with dew but what did he mean? Ledger, why? Fingerprints and smudges are all around. Then the phone rings and guess who? The life is changing forever. Into the badlands I roam...
